Admission Policy

AHS selects academically qualified students depending on available vacancies. The school operates a non-discriminatory admission policy. AHS admits students without regard to race, religion, color, gender, nationality, or political affiliation. The Admission Committee carefully weighs a variety of factors when making admission decisions. Previous school records and teacher referrals are required for all applicants prior to admission consideration. Prior grades or developmental assessments, achievement test scores, conduct reports and attendance records will be taken into consideration. Parents of applicants should report special needs to AHS and provide the results of any previous developmental/educational assessments. Students are selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement and school recommendation, as well as passing the Entrance Examinations set by AHS. Pre-School applicants are admitted only on the basis of a qualifying interview, taking into consideration the age limit set by the government.
